Last August, to commemorate the one year anniversary of Katrina, Wynton led a three day musical celebration in his hometown of New Orleans: concerts, talent shows, interviews, etc…

Wynton playing for Velocity Broadcasting tonight
Tonight, Wynton will play live for Pittsburgh-based Velocity Broadcasting.
The concert will be beamed into the Velocity boardroom suites at more than 50 Morton’s restaurants across the country.
Jazz fans will hear a 90-minute concert and commentary session with Wynton and his quintet live from WQED studios in Pittsburgh.

Wynton has a new mouthpiece and trumpet
Last July, Dave Monette brought out Wynton a new PRANA 3 Bb trumpet, serial number 2070.
He also brought a few prototype mouthpieces for Wynton to try. The new PRANA B2S3 was the winner, which Wynton has been playing all year.
